Wayne is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of England (ACCA). He qualified as a chartered accountant in June 1995, became a member of the ICAJ and ACCA in March 1996 and May 1996 respectively, and has held a practicing certificate since May 2001. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Manchester School of Business. 

Wayne worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for over ten (10) years where he held various positions including that of Assistant Manager, Assurance and Business Advisory Services. He later joined Courts (Jamaica) Limited in October 2001 and has held various positions including that of Financial Controller/Company Secretary. In November 2005, he became an entrepreneur by forming the partnership, Baker Tilly. Wayne is currently a full time practitioner with the firm Baker Tilly. He is the Past president of the Rotary Club of St. Andrew -2016/17. 

Wayne Strachan is a member of St. Jude’s Anglican Church and he serves as a director of the Board of Housing Agency of Jamaica and Norman Manley International Airport.
